Roles
Overview of the four role types — Owner, Admin, Editor, and Viewer — and the permissions they grant.
kicue's team feature uses four role types to control what each member can do. Some roles grant access to every project in the team; others are assigned on a per-project basis.
The four roles
- Owner: the team founder. Full access to every project, team management, billing management, and member invitations. One per team.
- Admin: full access to every project, plus member invitations. Cannot manage billing.
- Editor: access to specific projects only. Can edit, publish, and view tabulations for those projects.
- Viewer: access to specific projects only. Can only view and export tabulations — no editing or publishing.

Viewer mode UI
When a viewer logs in, the UI switches to read-only mode:
- A "view-only" banner is shown at the top of the screen
- Edit, publish, and settings buttons are hidden or disabled
- Tabulation and export screens remain fully functional
Changing roles
- Owners and Admins can change member roles from the Team settings screen (
/settings/team) - There is only one Owner per team; to transfer ownership, please contact support
